Chor und Orchester Kai Warner (1976)

This is Denmark, a view from the White Cliffs of Moen, called Moen's Klint. A very nice island in the sun with a capital city called Stege where an old islander owns a thrift store selling used books and records. As you may have noticed so far from the picture, I took a long sought after Kai Warner with me.

To my opinion, Werner Last's most prolific period was around 1975 when he produced The Road to Philadelphia, the Salsoul Sensation and this one which was totally unappreciated by radio stations. Especially, the wonderful arrangement on Lady Madonna was merely noticed by his brother Hans Last who re-arranged this tune later for his Beatles tribute in the 80s.

David Ordini

Born on Dec. 7th, 1935, Konrad Wolf alias David Ordini is one of the most prolific German library composers, arrangers and producers. He's the real man behind the curtain, he invented Kookie Freeman's Velvet Sound in the 60s, and he worked intensively with Gerhard Narholz, Helmuth Brandenburg and Wolfgang Maeder a.k.a. Lennie Portner.

Konrad Wolf produced countless instrumentals under his name and his pseudonym, and in company with his musical friends. After the commercial companies had dropped orchestras from their payrolls Konrad established the German phonundton library.

If You love the Ray Conniff chorus You shouldn't miss these Ordini tunes. These are kinda strange Bavarian Da Da Da Wah Wah Wah tip toe sounds.

The complete selection is a reminiscence of Johann Strauss Jr., whose 150th birthday jubilee was marked by Werner Last (Kai Warner) in 1975. The compilation contains the intact albums from David Ordini (on German Columbia Super Stereo) and Kai Warner (on German Philips).
