Franck Pourcel et son Grand Orchestre (1963)

'S Wonderful, 'S Marvelous, 'S Unique - 'S French.

And we ask ourselves: Why did Pathé Marconi, the French record company not sell his string of records outside of France? Nonetheless, Franck Pourcel achieved lots of distinctions:

1956:
The Grand Prix du Disque Français
1957:
The Grand Prix du Disque in Brazil
1963:
The Golden Disc in Venezuela
1965:
Edison Price for his Pop Sound from Amsterdam
1967:
Conducting in NY, LA, San Francisco, Denver, Hollywood
1968:
Golden Disc in Colombia
1969:
Grand Prix du Disque of the Charles Cros Academy in Paris
1970:
Gold record in Japan, the first of a serie!

Pourcel broke all the selling records of the European orchestras, he recorded over 2,000 songs and sold over 15 million albums worldwide. Around 1980 he even signed a contract with Gerhard Narholz and produced two library records under Narholz' Intersound label, see here. However, his Amour, Danse et Violons (ADV) are very very rare items to this day.

And now giving my kudos to Monsieur Franck Pourcel -> see comments section.

Happy Easter.
