Pete Jolly & Marty Paich (1968)

I realized Pete Jolly at the piano for the first time when listening to Ray Conniff's After The Lovin' back in 1977. This post emphasizes on Pete's outstanding performance in cooperation with Marty Paich - produced by Herb Alpert in 1968.

I remember a tape recorded copy which was shared somewhere in blogsphere almost a year ago, but the sound was distorted as a result of too much noise reduction. Here, you can taste the vinyl - German A&M vinyl - which by experience, should sound much better than the U.S.. Far from it! Actually, I presume that this Pete Jolly A&M is in bad shape anyway, due to manufacturing. There's a high noise level in the signal detected. Nonetheless, my restauration is not bad, but not really good either, though I refrained from using too much noise reduction.

Anyhow, I suppose you'll love this delightful mix of jazz piano and easy listening.
