Experience in Pluck (1964)

On February 15th, 1963, the Four Fab's 2nd single - Please Please Me - climed the charts to No.1, and that is 45 years ago from now. That birthday of the Beatles' success gives reason to share the first Beatles Songbook by the Hollyridge Strings.

Recently, I listened to John Barry's first album Stringbeat from '61 - thanks to yesterdaysgold - and I suddenly got the perception in mind having Stu Phillips listening to Stringbeat and looking for a new commercial sound with lots of pluck inside. Indeed, 3 years later The Song Books of the Hollyridge Strings were launched by Capitol and became a milestone in sound development. Thanks to innovator Stu Phillips, and arrangers Mort Garson and Perry Botkin Jr..

Here we go with the Songbook of the Beatles, note the bonus tracks for more Experience in Pluck.
