This is Piano and Strings, Harp, Guitars, Bass and Voices. A small brass section is limited to a flugelhorn and a trumpet. The man behind this is cherished library king Werner Drexler from Frankfurt in the middle of old Germany.
If you love sophisticated smooth easy listening you shouldn't miss the Fred Forster Orchestra. When you're listening to the bass in those 60s melodies you might imagine Ladi Geisler playing Bert Kaempfert's "Knack-Bass". Unfortunatly no further credits on the players were found so far.
The first two Fred Forster records were published in 1964 and 1967 on the German Vogue label. During the 70s Drexler kept the sound alive when working on 5 library LPs on his own Happy Records label.
I remember those 1970s when public radio stations such as Bremen and Frankfurt were playing Fred Forster almost once a day.
Any comments are highly welcome. Enjoy!
