One year ago Barton Lee Hazlewood left us at the age of 78. There's lots of memories in my mind since I discovered his voice when I was a young boy listening to the radio. A means of a very special relationship with vocals and instrumental sounds featured by numerous female voices and the orchestra of Billy Strange.
These montages span the years, from 1966 when Hazlewood for the first time presented The Shacklefords on Capitol's Silver Platter Show, to 2006 when he did his last recording.
You'll hear some interesting radio cuts in these tracks, so don't miss this commemoration.
Kiss all the pretty ones goodbye
Give everyone a penny that cry
You can throw all my tranquil' pills away
Let my blood pressure go on its way
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come.
Give everyone a penny that cry
You can throw all my tranquil' pills away
Let my blood pressure go on its way
For my autumn's done come
My autumn's done come.
Miss You Lee.
